God is With Us

We've been reminded this week to expect life to get tough, but we've been reminded to embrace it because it'll grow us and entrust our lives to God. Do you need to hear some words of Scripture today to help you entrust yourself to God?

How about these words: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;” (Isaiah 43:1–3 NIV11) Oh what great words to remind us we can entrust our lives to God!

Finding Contentment: Discovering Strength in Faith

What about the words of Paul in Philippians 4? He said, “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:11–13 NIV11)

In fact, do you remember the psalm we read on Monday? Maybe you want to go revisit it. The psalmist was saying, “I'm groaning, I'm fainting. I'm too troubled to speak.” But then halfway through the Psalm, he remembers God's faithfulness and he says this: “I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” Your ways, God, are holy. What god is as great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.” (Psalm 77:11–14 NIV11)

Strength in Tough Times: Finding Faith Amid Challenges

You see, life is tough, but! But we have a God who is with us through the storms, through the fires, through the floods. We have a God who gives us strength and helps us to get through any and all situations. We have a God who does miracles and cares for us.

Life is tough. Give it to God! Dive deeper with God. Trust more strongly in God's Word and you'll make it through.
