Singing Morning to Night

Matt Redman 10000 reasons devotion

Let's look at first one of the song, which sounds like this:

The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

Singing With the Sunrise

I love that: the sun comes up. It's a new day dawning. It's time to sing his song again. In other words, I'm alive. What am I going to do? I'm going to sing. It's a new day, what does that mean? It means I have another day to worship.

And remember, this is from the soul, it is from the heart. It's not just lips! This is singing from the heart. I'm alive - and so my heart must praise and worship this God.

Singing Through the Day

Whatever may pass and what ever lies before me, Let me be singing when the evening comes. This is a wonderful thing to say at the start of the day, saying, “Lord, whatever comes today, whatever difficulties or struggles or hardships are in my way, oh don't let them take out the song of my heart!

And you know what, friends? If you are strong in Christ then even through tears, you can be singing. It doesn't mean that you have to be chipper and upbeat the whole time. That's not what the song is saying. It's saying whatever comes I want to sing. I want to be so deeply trusting of God that I can sing whatever comes and I can go to bed praising him, even if things are tough because that's how deeply I trust him.

Singing Whatever Comes

Are you going to sing today, friends? Is your heart going to sing God's praise whatever you go through, good or bad? May it be that today from the beginning, there's a song in your heart, and as your head hits the pillow, you will still be singing because you know that God is good and he's trustworthy and he's worthy of our praise.
